WOMEN'S OUTING

Due to various clashes of dates and activities around Christmas the women's group of AMA didn't have a Christmas celebration.This was rectified on Saturday 15th when 9 of us went along the coast in Miraflores to enjoy the sun and the sea.

The women's group starts to meet again this coming Saturday when we shall be doing the bible studies for the World Day of prayer, this year organised by neighbouring Chile, 'How many breads do you have?'

2011

Having flicked through the blog I realise that there were many other things from 2010 I hadn't published,... but another year has started so here goes in trying to keep up to date with happenings this year.

Therapies have started again in Shalom with the same team which is great.

Here is a picture of the staff at Christmas, from the left: Milagros, Luisa, Nelly, me, Ruth and Luis.

Shalom has also had a facelift thanks to the help of a team from Goshen college, USA here in Peru on a cultuiral exchange programme. With 14 of them, their leaders and Shalom helpers we whizzed through the painting chores; a new mural in the patio, giving us a 'inside garden'; the church/waiting area; the pre -school room and giving the outside of the building a make over with new light blue and repainted sign.
