Diocesan Youth Festival

What a great day of activities together on Saturday 7th October as more than 200 people gathered at Santa Maria church in Villa Maria to celebrate together. Food, games, face painting, children's show, dance, coreography, music etc. I was very proud of the youth and adolescents from Jesus El Nazareno as they presented a traditional dance from Cusco - they were so enthusiastic and Robert's teaching proved well invested and they leaped, twirled and generally enjoyed filling the road with colour and energy.
The costumes were bright and colourful, here's Karen and Lesley.

There was a chicken lunch to raise funds for the future camps and retreats for the young people.

I'm not hungry! But that didn't stop Diego making sure I got my share!

Then in the evening the music group played several Christian songs in traditional Peruvian style and had the young, and those of us not so young, dancing and celebrating together.
Praise God for the talent of these young people from the different churches in the Diocese. pray that they will be encouraged in their faith and in their service, vitality and expression for the glory of God in the future.
